Burning 'raw' images with LliureX
The graphic application LliureX Image Writer is available for all LliureX adaptations in the repository. This application enables to burn image files .img .usb or .dsk.
It replaces the use of dd in the command-line, facilitating the user's task.
How to use it:
- Insert the USB device or floppy disk (for images. dsk) in the corresponding port or drive.
- Start the tool, available at Applications> LliureX Management > Image Recorder USB / Floppy Disk. This menu entry corresponds with the command:
lliurex-image-writer. - Go to Select the device and locate the USB where the image will be burnt.
- Select the image file to burn by clicking on the appropriate option.
- Click on Burn.
Displays the following interface:

This application can be used to burn a .dsk image, creating this way a boot disk for TCOS (working with thin clients).
IMPORTANT:
This application should not be used for burning ISO images. In this case, use the burning utility Brasero.
